Hallowell’s 400 Series KD Combination Cabinets offer a versatile and attractive solution for general and office storage, available as either knock-down (KD) units for assembly or fully assembled. These commercial-grade cabinets are expertly designed to provide ample storage for coats, supplies, and personal belongings, ensuring a neat and organized appearance in any setting. Each cabinet in this series emphasizes security with a 3-point positive locking mechanism and a chrome-plated locking handle that includes a built-in grooved key lock. A key feature for adaptable storage is the adjustable shelving system, where shelves can be moved on 2-inch centers and are built with a triple-flanged front for superior strength, capable of supporting 200 lbs of uniformly distributed weight.
Specifically equipped for combination functionality, each unit features a full-width upper shelf made from 22-gauge minimum sheet steel, with single bends at the sides and double return bends at both the front and back for enhanced rigidity. A center partition, also fabricated from minimum 22-gauge sheet steel, is securely bolted to the underside of the upper shelf, cabinet back, and bottom, effectively dividing the cabinet into distinct storage and wardrobe sections. The storage side includes three half-width shelves, also constructed from 22-gauge minimum sheet steel, providing ample space for supplies. On the wardrobe side, a half-width coat rod is located below the upper shelf, complemented by at least two coat hooks, ensuring dedicated hanging space for garments. This thoughtful design allows for efficient organization of both hanging items and general supplies within a single unit.
