The Spirit™ SD multimedia player/recorder and stereo learning center has been tested by teachers to support a variety of learning activities, including reading, language learning, ESL, foreign language instruction, and ELL/ELD programs aligned with the English Language Arts section of the Common Core State Standards. This learning center is perfect for music and movement classes, as well as read-alongs during independent study. With 2 Watts of power, the Spirit SD can easily accommodate up to 40 people in a typical classroom setting. The Spirit SD multimedia player/recorder is versatile and can support various formats, including AM/FM radio, cassette, and a top-loading CD player. It also has USB and SD ports, allowing for student or teacher-generated content to be played for the entire class. The built-in microphone can record student responses for later playback, making it easy to monitor progress with lessons and reading practice. Made with durable ABS plastic, the Spirit SD can withstand the daily wear and tear of school use, with recessed speakers to prevent damage in busy classrooms. By connecting a stereo jackbox to the 3.5mm headphone plug, the Spirit SD can be used as a learning center for small groups of students to listen through headphones without disturbing the rest of the class. The Spirit SD is also available in 4 and 6-person Learning Centers, which include a 10-person jackbox and Switchable Stereo/Mono headphones.
